@QuentinMCody there absolutely is, thus leading to the phrase ">tfw they fact check a joke"
· ↳ reply to @Jayasimha108
@Jayasimha108 my argument wouldn’t be that the two are always distinct. there are plenty of truths that are beautiful and beauties that are truthful, and the intersection for you may be your god and religion . but have you never come across an attractive delusion or an unattractive truth
· ↳ reply to @tszzl
@Jayasimha108 it’s true that 100,000 babies get cancer every year. It’s true that sometimes a homeless person is asking you for money only to buy drugs. It’s true that sometimes you need to stop giving people second chances. None of these things are beautiful

· ↳ reply to @tszzl
i think i said this before but "learning" is solved if you have a lot of compute ... just run the evolutionary process for a long time (or construct a gradient as in RL) modularity we do in the meantime is to conserve compute power via understanding various brain functions
18 ♥ · x.com →
· ↳ reply to @tszzl
if we understand that the brain requires memory then we can design architectures that reflect this and don't have to waste compute cycles learning to create memory

@marx_knopfler just realized your avi is one of those NN hallucinations, blackpilled again by the state of cat tech

@npc269 the officially reported death counts feel wrong vs the level of panic im hearing
@neurosisenjoyer i dont think the fda gives a shit about me at all, and might be one of the greatest impediments to tech progress i do think they are quite concerned with their own survival, which makes them very risk averse

@chopstickfury01 @ladybug1776 if you watch the video hes not even doing the bit of "im just asking questions", he calls whatever new study he read a "real redpill" im with you on how badly the scientific institutions showed their ass at the beginning but the solution isn't to follow even worse grifters

@ladybug1776 @chopstickfury01 no ad hominem is good actually at any rate the only discussion here is who's worth trusting on reporting the basic side effect statistics, the FDA, bret weinstein, other scientific establishments, so its just ad hominem all the way down

still blackpilled how by the time china had recruited 100,000s of workers to enforce a central quarantine of the ill, most people in government and media here were just googling "what is test and trace"

@nickcammarata don't worry, the first mood overpowers the latter generally. that's why my bio says "reluctant transhumanist" but also includes the weary nikola tesla quote

if you're gonna rob some place in SF you gotta hit a chain store like CVS Walgreens etc bc there will be security guards who are paid to stand around and force everybody else to not to act erratically so your robbery goes v smooth

@NormieRotten like everyone else you will get headaches and fevers for a day and then receive immunity at a miraculous % rate so seems like an obv trade

@NormieRotten most criticisms you will see will just be like vague concern trolling "im just asking questions they havent done enough long term testing!" theres no 5 year prognosis on contracting the actual virus and it obv means orders of magnitude more spike protein in your blood

@ladybug1776 @chopstickfury01 it doesnt seem that hard to just hit the deltoid muscle. both of mine seemed to be proper. assume improper administration, mrna goes to wrong cells, some spike protein gets into the bloodstream. it's now still orders of magnitude lower in presence than in an actual infection
the real problem with mRNA vaccines is that they target protein production in muscle cells in your deltoids, which then get destroyed by the immune system response pfizer conspiring to lower my overhead press by a few milligrams
